Forgot where you parked your car? Can’t seem to remember to take the trash out? Maybe it’s time for a memory boost! Read on for 5 foods that help boost memory function.

Like we mentioned in our Berry Green Memory Zinger, berries have major memory boosting antioxidants. But the blueberries mentioned in our tea aren’t the only berries with the benefit. Try strawberries and acai berries as well!

Who doesn’t love Avocado toast? Well now, our favorite post workout meal is linked to memory aid! The creamy treat is a rich source of vitamins E and C, both associated with a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s.

Dark Green Leafy Vegetables

Greens such as kale, collard greens, spinach and broccoli are all good sources of vitamin E and folate. Eating greens helps lower levels of an amino acid in the blood. High levels of the amino acid is linked to the death of nerve cells in the brain so make sure to get your greens!

Many fish including mackerel, tuna and salmon are rich in heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Fatty acids are important to the normal functioning of neurons in the brain.

Red Wine

The last one is probably the most fun out of the list, red wine! Red wine not only boasts antioxidant rich berries but is also linked to a reduction in Alzheimer’s when consumed moderately. That’s something we can definitely get behind!
